2. General Information on Data Processing

We process personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website along with our content and services. Processing is carried out on the basis of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany (hereinafter “Hetzner”), in a data centre in Germany (Nuremberg or Falkenstein). No data is transferred to a third country outside the EU/EEA.

The host collects the following data in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically each time a page is accessed: IP address, date and time of the request, time-zone offset from GMT, content of the request, access status/HTTP status code, volume of data transferred, referrer URL, browser type and version, operating system.

Processing this data is necessary to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with Hetzner.

Server log files are usually deleted after a maximum of 14 days, unless security-relevant incidents require longer retention.

4. Cookies and Consent Management

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. We distinguish between technically necessary cookies and cookies that require your consent.

Technically necessary cookies: The cookie lapco_cookie_consent stores your cookie settings (retention: 12 months). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR and § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG.

Consent-based cookies: All other cookies (in particular analytics cookies for Google Analytics) are only set after your express consent. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25 (1) TDDDG.

When you first visit the website, a cookie banner is displayed, via which you can grant, refuse or selectively adjust your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by clicking “Cookie settings” in the footer of the website.

5. Google Fonts (loaded externally)

This website uses so-called Google Fonts provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, for consistent typography. When you access a page, your browser loads the required fonts from Google’s servers in order to display texts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google’s servers. Google thereby becomes aware that our website has been accessed from your IP address. Transmission to servers of Google LLC in the USA cannot be excluded. For this transfer there is an adequacy decision of the EU Commission (EU-US Data Privacy Framework) under which Google Ireland Limited is certified.

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

6. Google Analytics 4

On this website we use the web analytics service Google Analytics 4 provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse the use of our website. The information generated about your use of this website (including your abbreviated IP address) is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Purpose of processing: Statistical analysis of user behaviour in order to continuously improve the website and its content.

Legal basis: Your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25 (1) TDDDG. Without your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded.

IP anonymisation: Google Analytics 4 anonymises IP addresses by default, so that direct identification of individuals is precluded.

Recipients and transfers to third countries: Google Ireland Limited (EU/EEA) as well as Google LLC (USA) as the parent company. For the transfer to the USA there is an adequacy decision of the EU Commission (EU-US Data Privacy Framework) under which Google LLC is certified. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with Google.

Retention period: The cookies set by Google Analytics have a lifetime of between a few minutes and a maximum of 2 years. Event data is retained by Google for a maximum of 14 months.

Withdrawal of consent: You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by clicking “Cookie settings” in the footer of the website and deactivating the analytics cookies.
